Railroading Through the Winter of '93

"With an excellent eye for a dynamic scene, Robert McCormack of Canrail Video fame has produced a tape worthy of your library. Featuring mostly CN, CP, VIA and GO Transit, this hour presentation is also sprinkled with shots from the Buffalo, New York side of the Peace Bridge which links Fort Erie, Ontario to that U.S. state where the Susquahana, Conrail, CSX, Norfolk Southern and Amtrak are prevalent. In the southern Ontario region, famous railfan sites like Bayview Junction, the Dundas Hill, Aldershot, Burlington West, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie and Copetown are covered extensively.

"As the title suggests, this is winter mainline action with contemporary locomotive power and rolling stock. The sound quality is so good, it felt like we were right at trackside. And lots of swirling snow scenes as the power and rolling stock kicks up the white dust. Rob has cleverly selected his location shots and the tape presents some very creative videotography. We were impressed with the variety of trains seen on the tape as well as the realism created as crews battle the elements to try and maintain schedules. The fact that this tape is shot during white snow conditions gave us a different look at trains running at speed through a white blanket.

"Our review team rated this professionally produced program at 5 (5) and highly recommend the production to those who appreciate modern Canadian and U.S. railroading." Canadian Railway Modeller
