(DVD 1) The 1960’s were a time for change in the railroad industry. Passenger train service was diminishing. Freight service was not holding its own on many roads.

It was during this time that noted photographer Jerry Carson chose to capture these major changes in America’s railroads. This video covers Missouri Pacific, Norfolk & Western, Gulf Mobile and Ohio, Pennsylvania Railroad, The Frisco, and The Manufacturers Railroad (Owned by Anheiser Busch.) Photographed in crisp, sharp 16mm.

(DVD 2) The 1960’s and early 1970’s were a time for change in the railroad industry. During the 1960’s and early 1970’s, Jerry Carson set out to capture the flavor of American railroading at its best.
Part 2 covers the following railroads: Chicago & North Western, Chesapeake and Ohio, Baltimore and Ohio, South Shore, Milwuakee Road, Katy, Santa Fe, TRRA, CB&Q.
