A Time of Change
Spring and summer of 1999 signaled a revolutionary change in railroading throughout Western Pennsylvania. CSX and Norfolk Southern's acquisition of Conrail lines have brought numerous new freight schedules and a multitude of colorful run-through foreign power to this area that has never been seen before.
From April 15th through August 20th, 1999, videographer Bob Sechler visited Western Pennsylvania locations such as Sand Patch Grade, Derry, Meyersdale, Waynesburg, Trafford, Wilmerding, Debo, Rockwood, Connellsville, West Brownsville, Ardara, Confluence, Gratztown, Ohiopyle, Bradford, plus a couple of scenes from the newly refurbished Salisbury Viaduct bike-hike trail.
A parade of color from road names such as CSX, Conrail, NS, Soo Line, BNSF, Santa Fe, Guilford, SWP, CP Rail, CN, Montana Rail Link, EMD Leasing, Wisconsin Central, Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, CNW, WBLE, Amtrak, Susquehanna, KCS, and others ore captured for your enjoyment. 12 Unit lash ups also are seen.
