On November 11th 2010, Iowa Interstate 2-10-2 QJ #7081 ran from Des Moines to Council Bluffs, Iowa in conjunction with the Rock Island Technical Society. 7081 would be on display at Golden Spike Park in Council Bluffs along with Union Pacific 4-8-4 #844. 844 was there celebrating 50 years of steam excursions on the UP.
The run back to Cheyenne covering the next two days would be Steve Lee's last time at the throttle before retirement.
Includes; *Chasing, pacing of Iowa Interstate 7081 on Thursday and on a very cold and windy day on Saturday, Nov. 13th *Union Pacific 844 leaving Omaha on the 13th *Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 #3985 on the River Sub into Jefferson City in October 2010
