Welcome to Green Frog’s Fallen Flags in the 90’s, Volume 7. Most of the content in this program will feature Conrail and Grand Trunk trains, before the split and merger of Conrail to CSX and Norfolk-Southern, and Grand Trunk’s former DT&I Flat Rock Sub being sold off to the Indiana and Ohio .
Additional footage will feature CSX and NS as well in this time frame. You’ll see various paint schemes for CSX. You’ll view NS running trains with older, standard cab power, with long hood forward and high hood NS locomotives.
If you don’t care to see graffiti painted rolling stock, you won’t be disappointed with this program. The cars in this video are close to 99% graffiti free. Most of the footage was shot on the GT Flat Rock Sub and the Conrail ex-Cincinnati Line. In those days lash-ups could include NS and CSX power on the GT line and the same with CSX and NS power on the Conrail line. Footage of a GE Center Cab switching near the Conrail main and Southwest Portland Cement Yard in Fairborn, Ohio is shown.
Locations include: Springfield, Dayton, Fairborn, London, Quincy, High Bridge north of Quincy, St. Paris, Columbus Grove, Ottawa, Leipsic, North Star Steel Plant near Delta Hill, Hamler in Ohio and Diann Tower in Michigan. Wisconsin Central, Canadian National, Family Lines and Southern Pacific loco’s make cameo appearances.
