GATEWAY TO THE PACIFIC-BNSF & UP
Rich Scheid’s professional digital camera takes you to the Pacific Northwest on Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s Gateway to the Pacific.
We’ll travel along the Columbia River Gorge with BNSF on the north side and follow Union Pacific along the south side.
Then we head up to the Seattle-Tacoma area visiting the yard at Tacoma and next travel east to spectacular Mt. Rainer. We’ll also visit Thrum, Puyallup, Sumner, and Auburn.
Sunset Falls, and Skykomish are our next stops on spectacular Stevens Pass, followed by the newly opened Stampede Pass. We’ll also catch the Amtrak Talgos on the Cascade service between Seattle and Eugene, Oregon.

BNSF-TRACKS OF THE GOAT-OVER MARIAS PASS AND THRU GLACIER PARK
Follow Green Frog's professional photographer Rich Scheid on an incredible railroad adventure through the great Northwest.
We'll travel through some of the most spectacular wilderness scenery settled by the Great Northern Railway at the top of the country and now owned and operated by the BNSF.
This DVD covers the territory from the western plains at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, through the browning west, through Blackfoot Indian Country, over the Two Medicine River on the highest trestle on the old Great Northern and onto East Glacier Park.
Next we climb over the Continental Divide and the legendary Marias Pass. We will see trains going through snow sheds and battling the grades of Marias Pass just below the Canadian border. We'll also visit locations like Essex and travel right through Glacier National Park founded by the Great Northern.
This is some of the most ruggedly beautiful country in the USA! We'll see many trestles, tunnels, and travel along rivers with rapids and canyons to West Glacier Park at Belton, and lastly into the lumbering towns of Columbia Falls and Whitefish with its beautiful depot.

BNSF-TRACKS OF THE GOAT VOLUME 2
In Volume 2 we'll cross Great Northern's other famous mountain pass, Steven's Pass in our quest to reach the Pacific.
Green Frog's professional photographer Rich Scheid will take us over the Cascade Mountains of Washington.
We will start this journey in Spokane, Washington and head west through the rolling wheatlands of eastern Washington, through Harrington, Wilson Creek, Ephrata, and the Apple Capital of the world Wenatchee.
Next we'll head up the Cascade Mountains over Steven's Pass stopping at Levenworth, visiting both portals of the famous 8 mile long Cascade Tunnel, then on to Skykomish, the beautiful Mt. Index area, Sunset Falls, Gold Bar, and Startup, Finally ending at the Pacific tide water town of Everett.
Then we'll head south on the old track of the Northern Pacific to Auburn, Cross the Green River, then travel on to Easton, Sumner, and cross the White River, and visit Payallup and location's west, where the spectacular Mt. Raineer looms over head.
We'll visit the port city of Tacoma with its yard and depot, and visit Vancouver, Washington's yard and Depot.

BNSF-SPOKANE TO PORTLAND-THE COLUMBIA RIVER ROUTE
The spectacular beauty of the Columbia River with its ever changing scenery can be seen thru Green Frog's professional railroad photographer Rich Scheid. We will start out in Spokane Washington and work our way west thru Washington's golden rolling hills of wheat, visiting towns like Sprague, Ritzville, Lind, and Pascos, BNSF's division headquarters with yard and shops.
Then we'll cross the Columbia River at Pasco to its north side and follow the great river with its diverse scenery. We will visit towns like Wishram with its yard nestled at the bottom of the gorge and work our way west thru some of the most spectacular scenery in this country.
At Dallesport we will see the Locks, Dam, Falls and trains with beautiful Mount Hood in the background. Next we'll follow the spectacular shoreline of the Columbia River Gorge thru tunnels, past shear rock walls and from many vantage points.
Then on thru Bingen, Hood, Cook, Home Valley, Stevens, Washougal, and Vancouver Washington with its depot, yard, and bridge over the Columbia River. Then we'll cross the Columbia River into Portland, Oregon to the beautiful Portland Union Station.
