For Robert Federle, it all started in the mid 1950’s. His Grandfather worked for Railway Express Agency and as his Grandparent would babysit, he would take him trackside, and the bug had bitten.
In the early 1970’s, Robert was driving and out and about. He started at the local rail yard and other nearby locations. Armed with a Kodak Super 8 Movie Camera, a Polaroid Land camera and a small 110 Instamatic, He started photographing trains.
The majority of this program will be a large amount of action at rail yards, such as Pit Yard - Hamilton Ohio, Armco and WR Tower at New River in New Miami Ohio, Storrs and Gest St. Yards - Cincinnati, and Sharon Yard - Sharonville Ohio, plus some mainline running.
